Week 12/Week 4 Hahaha Project1 Complete I actually loved it
- With whom did you work?
- I worked with Xavier Mendoza and Isaiah Suarez.
- What
was your strategy for solving the assignments?
- I
just immediately started writing code. I looked at the prompt for the
method and wrote code based on what I thought was needed. I fixed my code
after testing it, but I just went with what felt right.
- What
was THEIR strategy for solving the assignments
- They
had very similar approaches to solving the assignment. It was a lot easier
and faster to just start writing code.
- How
would you change your strategy having worked on the assignment?
- I
would change my approach to the project. I would prefer to write out pseudocode
or something similar to make writing the code easier. I had to rewrite a
few methods because they were not giving me the intended result.
- According
to your classmate(s): how well does your code follow the Google
Java Style GuideLinks to an external site.? Pretty Descent.
- Did
you know you can automate applying some of the style guide
rulesLinks to an external site.? I did know about this, and it is
extremely helpful.
- What
was the most challenging part?
- The attackModifier
method was the most challenging. I struggled a little bit trying to
figure out how to make sure each element was accounted for.
- What
was the most interesting?
- The
most interesting part was the concept behind the project. It reminded me
a lot of Pokémon lol. The names were hilarious.
- What
are you the most proud of?
- I am
most proud that I actually was able to get my output as close as possible
as the sample output.
- How
did you celebrate completing the assignment?
- I
have not celebrated but, I will now celebrate by taking my daughter to Dave
and Buster’s
So far this has been a very entertaining course. Dr. C is funny and watching the lectures is nowhere as boring as watching other lectures that I have watched previously. We finally got Project 2 and I am so excited to start on that. I hate team projects but I love coding so, I gotta suck it up.
